The Series
After an Architecture, 2011 - 2013
Series of 32 Photograph, c-prints and diasec, different sizes, Edition of 5 + 2 A.P.
The photographic series refers to the publication from Le Corbusier „Vers une Architecture“ from 1923 and reflects the contemporary status of utopian ideas that were created in this time. It shows new perspectives of Le Corbusiers architecture by relating to his idea of the total work of art, including painting and sculpture in the construction of houses. The photographies are less documentary than abstract, appearing as collages of colour and materials that are used in the buildings. The image hereby is a symbol for a new reading of the architecture of Le Corbusier.
